Sleepy Hollow
The legend of Sleepy Hollow is about a very quite peaceful valley that was close a Dutch village called Tarry Town. Sleepy Hallow was full of superstations, ghost stories, and the most famous the headless horseman of Sleepy Hollow.
In this peaceful place, there is a man named Ichabod Crane who comes to teach the children. Ichabod was a very peculiar looking person. His body was tall and thin and his arms seemed amiss because they were so long. However, Ichabod was an affable person in the community; He helped the farmers and their families in order to obtain food and a shelter.
One of Ichabod’s musical students was Katrina Van Tassel. Ichabod was haunted by this young beauty who also was the only child of a rich farmer. Katrina had many young men after her. The most important competitor know as Brom Bones. Ichabod dreamed of being Katrina’s husband and being a rich farmer .This dream impelled Ichabod to pursue Katrina. He also avoided being irascible with Brom Bones. Many villagers were tremulous of Brom Bones.
One day Ichabod receive an invitation to the Van Tassel farm. Ichabod thought he had conquered Katrina because he had dance the whole evening while Bones didn’t. However, Ichabod suddenly left the farm looking despondent and left without speaking to anyone. The tale says that the attack by the headless horseman on the road was interminable. Ichabod was never seen again. Years later an old farmer said he had heard that Ichabod was still alive. Perhaps Ichabod lived like a recluse, because of the profound sorrow he felt after leaving Sleepy Hollow and Katrina.
